OUR STORY
Together
We met in 2004 at a dock on a local river in Oregon and have been together ever since. Both of us grew up in Oregon and have now landed in Washington less than an hour from Seattle. We’re close enough that we regularly attend concerts, festivals, museums, and events going on in the city.
We enjoy simple things like going to the movies and walking our dog, but do love taking on new challenges and keeping active. It is hard to imagine your child ever being bored with us as parents. We’re ready to become parents and feel like we are at an ideal place in life for nurturing a healthy and happy child. We also have an easy going dog named Star who is extremely friendly and will be overjoyed by a new family member.
Meet Whitney
I grew up in Oregon and Alaska. Education has always been important to me. When Tim got hired and moved to Washington for work I stayed in Oregon to finish my degree at Portland State University. I work as a substitue teacher at various local elementary schools. In high school I played water polo, and also swam on the swim team and swim club.
I love walking Star nearly every day at the park near our house with a group of friends. Other hobbies I enjoy are sewing projects for family and friends, and also scrapbooking memorable moments. My favorite place to visit is the Pacific Coast, where our dog loves to play in the sand. Reading is another passion I have, along with going to the movies and watching my favorite TV shows, Game of Thrones, Grey’s Anatomy and The Big Bang Theory.

Whitney has a huge smile that immediately makes others smile. Her caring personality and concern for others are two of the many reasons that I fell in love with her. She always has a positive outlook on life and has a generous heart. Her compassion and approach around kids makes it easy to see why she’ll make a great mother.

Tim is very supportive, smart, athletic, and adventurous. His desire to see your child grow and succeed is something that will always be essential to him. He looks forward to exposing them to new experiences and watching them having fun growing up happy. He envisions going to zoos, waterparks, beaches, and do many other activities to create lasting memories as a family.

Together we look forward to raising your child with a strong foundation that will allow them to live a happy and rewarding life. We feel strongly that we can provide an environment where they will be surrounded by love and support, and be able to blossom.
Meet Tim
Staying active is important to me, whether it’s skiing and snowboarding in the winter or seeking out new adventures during the summer. Growing up I played a variety of sports including football, basketball, and baseball. I’m always up for a new exciting activity, but I also enjoy relaxing by watching movies, reading books, or simply hanging out with friends and family.
I work as an engineer and have earned two master’s degrees with honors (3.50+ GPA). Luckily, my career provides a lot of flexibility, so I’ll always be actively involved in the upbringing of your child. I look forward to showing them the value of education through everyday interactions like helping them with their homework and by encouraging them to discover new talents. The process of learning and discovery is a lifelong skill that both Whitney and I hope to instill in your child.
